Job Overview
TITLE: LEGAL AND ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
REPORTS TO: LEGAL AND ENFORCEMENT MANAGER
OVERALL FUNCTION: To assist the Manager of legal & enforcement in the
enforcement of the Acts under the Commission’s purview.
SPECIFIC TASKS
Assist in the drafting of legal instruments/documents needed by the Commission.
Assist in the planning and carrying out of the Department’s quarterly activities.
Provide legal advice and technical support to Consumer Protection Tribunals.
Work with the Consumer Protection and Competition Departments in sensitizing
businesses and providing advice to consumers on their rights and duties.
Provide the Head of Department with regular updates and written quarterly
reports on activities carried out, accomplishments and constraints.
Provide legal and procedural input to market investigations and studies on
Competition and Consumer Protection.
Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications & Experience
1. A Bachelor’s degree in law.
2. Enrolled as a legal practitioner
3. Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
4. Advance knowledge of a wide range of software.
