About HappyFarm
HappyFarm operates a platform that teaches smallholder farmers regenerative agriculture and connects them to carbon finance. Farmers receive training and financial incentives to convert their farms to regenerative practices, resulting in higher crop yields, less need for fertiliser and greater resilience to climate change. The HappyFarm mobile app is designed for an illiterate audience and uses a system of local ambassadors to support farmers. The programme will be funded by the private sector, development agencies and not-for-profit organisations, and we have already signed a contract with one of the most prestigious partners, with others in the pipeline. HappyFarm is a for-profit business.
Launched in 2022, HappyFarm is led by a team of Gambian-German entrepreneurs in the fields of technology, agriculture and international development.
