ROLE SUMMARY
The Sales and Marketing Intern will assist in executing sales strategies, supporting marketing
campaigns, and engaging with clients. This is an ideal opportunity for recent university graduates
to develop practical skills in communication, sales techniques, and market analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers to explain insurance products and
services
• Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, and digital platforms
• Understand customer needs and coordinate with senior sales executives to close leads
• Assist in executing marketing campaigns (online and offline)
• Support social media, and digital marketing initiatives
• Help with market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback collection
• Participate in promotional events, or field marketing activities when required
• Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and customer interactions in CRM systems
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
• Number of outbound calls made
• Number of leads handled
• Number of cases closed / policies sold
• Revenue generated
• Conversion rate (leads to closures)
• Average premium per policy
• Follow-up completion rate
• CRM data accuracy and reporting compliance
• Customer satisfaction / call quality score
• Sales target achievement
EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• A minimum of a 1st degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a recognized University
• Strong command of the English language with clear, confident verbal communication skills
• Target-driven mindset with the ability to work in a performance-based environment
• Good negotiation and objection-handling skills
• Proficiency in basic computer applications
• Professional attitude with a high standard of ethical and compliant selling
• Focused and structured in approach, effectively managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines
• Use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Innovative, confident, and professional person with high levels of drive and integrity
• Basic understanding of sales concepts (knowledge of insurance is an advantage; training will be
provided).
