REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR BIDS FOR THE PRINTING AND SUPPLIES OF COMPETENCY BASED CURRICULUM (CBC) TEXT BOOKS FOR USE IN SELECTED LOWER BASIC SCHOOLS IN THE GAMBIA
Future In Our Hands The Gambia (FIOHTG) is one of the Sub – Recipient (SR) for the implementation of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) McGovern-Dole Food for Education (FFE) and Nutrition Program through the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and under guidance and stewardship of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) in The Gambia. This 5 years program which is given a local name as “Na Dinding O la Karango leh Kumayata (NDOKK) Project”, is operating in 186 selected schools in all regions across the country, since October, 2022. The aim of the program is (1) to improve literacy of school age children and (2) to increase the use of health and dietary practices.
As an SR in the program, FIOHTG is mandated to implement the literacy component of the project, among other activities. Therefore, working in collaboration with MoBSE, the project intends to print and distribute Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) text books for lower grades in the 186 project schools in all the regions across the country.
It is on this premise that we are inviting bids from Gambian printing firms to send in bids including full cost for colored printing and professional binding and packaging and final delivery to FIOHTG designated warehouse within Kanifing Municipality. The printing and supplies of the following school text books in the following quantities must follow the MoBSE printing standards and regulations.

Interested printing firms must fulfil the following conditions:
- Established and fully functional printing firm
- Legally registered firm
- Certificate of tax compliance
Interested printing firm are further requested to write a letter of interest and a full proposal indicating experience in similar works and outlining delivery period, 1 sample copy of the textbooks and submit to HR Office of FIOHTG, NOT LATER THAN 13TH DECEMBER, 2024, AT 16:30 PM GAMBIAN TIME.
Interested printing firms are requested to collect soft copies of the CBC text Books as ordered above, from the Literacy Specialist @ FIOHTG Head Office, Kotu South, Kanifing Municipality within working hours, from Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 16:30pm and Friday 8:30am – 14:30 pm)
FIOHTG is not bound to accept the highest or lowest bid.
