Compator’s mission is to promote sustainable global inclusivity through accessible technology. This feeds into our holistic vision to improve the life expectancy and economic activity of the world’s poorest people through greater prosperity and health outcomes. Our goal is to add five more years of economic activity and well-being to people’s lives. How? By leapfrogging energy-hungry legacy technology solutions that would place excessive demand on the national power supply, are often unobtainable in the Global South, and are becoming unsustainable even in the Global North.

The central aim of Compator is to provide high-quality compute and infrastructure to remote or under-connected regions or communities, allowing users to harness the true potential of digitisation. This is applicable to schooling, healthcare, community and disaster relief where there’s little bandwidth to access internet-enabled services. The problem we’re solving is that compute is in general inefficient and difficult to deploy, needing many resources that are scarce in the global south; bypassing these issues, we clear the path to digital self-sufficiency.

Driven by in-country workforces empowered with new skills, our technology will play its part in other efforts on the ground that promote integration, generate inclusive economic growth and job creation, break digital divides, and eradicate poverty.
