DIRECT SALES AGENT (DSA) – MERCHANT ONBOARDING

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding

• Identify and approach potential merchants for APS Wallet onboarding.
• Explain APS Wallet products, services, and benefits to prospective merchants.
• Complete merchant registration and require accurate data. 

Merchant Activation

• Support newly onboarded merchants to activate their accounts.
• Train merchants on APS Wallet services and payment solutions.
• Follow up to ensure merchants conduct regular transactions.

Merchant Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants.
• Visit and engage merchants regularly to understand their needs.
• Address basic concerns and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Identify opportunities to increase merchant acquisition and transaction volumes.
• Promote APS Wallet products, services, and campaigns.

Merchant Reactivation

• Identify inactive and low-performing merchants.
• Follow up and encourage inactive merchants to resume transactions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Senior Secondary School Certificate, diploma, or degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in sales, marketing, customer service, banking, fintech, or mobile money is an advantage.
• Basic computer, smartphone, and digital application skills.

• Excellent communication, sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, disciplined, and customer-focused.
• Ability to work as a team, and extensively in the field.
