Job Overview

As a Graphics Design Trainer at our Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission – MGQS IT training institute in The Gambia, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality training in graphics design using Adobe’s industry-standard creative tools to our students. This role involves conducting comprehensive training sessions covering Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, engaging with students to ensure their understanding of both foundational design principles and practical software application, evaluating their progress, and providing support and guidance to help them develop professional-grade design skills. While a detailed course curriculum will be provided, you are encouraged to integrate your own industry experiences and creative insights to enrich the learning experience. Additionally, staying current with the latest trends in graphic design, digital media, and Adobe Creative Cloud updates is essential for delivering relevant and impactful training.

Qualification and Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of industry experience in graphic design, with demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign, is required.
• Strong understanding of core design principles including typography, colour theory, layout, and visual composition.
• Ability to explain complex design concepts and software workflows in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students of varying creative backgrounds and skill levels.
• A commitment to continuous professional development in both technical and educational fields.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred but not required.
