Reports to: Managing Director

Responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of NAWEC’s technical and corporate planning, capital investment portfolio, and enterprise-wide project management function. Ensures strategic initiatives, infrastructure projects, and development programmes are aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and national development goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development, implementation, and review of Corporate Strategy and Business Plans
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide Project Management Framework
  • Manage the full project portfolio lifecycle — safety, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate long-term capital investment plans and align with funding and strategic priorities
  • Develop project governance policies, standards, and stage-gate review processes
  • Support preparation of technical specifications, business cases, and funding proposals
  • Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned exercises
Qualifications & Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Strategic Management, or related discipline
  • PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, MSP, PgMP, or equivalent — added advantage
  • Portfolio Management, Risk Management, or Business Analysis certification — advantage
  • Minimum 10 years in project management, strategic planning, or infrastructure development
  • At least 5 years in a senior management or executive leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in major infrastructure and capital programme management.
