Job Overview
A reputable company is seeking a highly skilled IT Network and Security Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, testing and supporting the Network infrastructure. S/He will conduct the deployment for new implementations, conduct network audits for existing operations and provide standard operating procedures to be followed. Handle complex issues and problems and give assistance to the onsite technicians for the most complex issues. S/He will be maintaining the company’s network services. The Network and Security Administrator is also involved in a wide array of projects that complement the company’s service quality and performance.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deployment and improvement of network Infrastructure
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS), including monitoring of the network infrastructure, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required
- Interface with end users and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems
- Analyse and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
- Perform periodic security related maintenance, firmware updates and system configuration changes
- Coordinates regularly with third parties such as manufacturers and partners
- Provide periodical reporting to the IT Manager on all network and Infrastructure related matters
- Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes and cabling layouts
- Auditing IT infrastructure and give recommendations to ensure compliance
- Perform network traffic analysis for incident response
- Develop custom scripts and tools to help with installation, maintenance, support and reporting objectives.
- In collaboration with the IT team, manage all phases of any ad-hoc IT project that may be
requested by the Management. - Contribute to all new releases implementation objectives (e.g. revision upgrades; emergency modifications; etc.) by coordinating all requirements between the development center and the local operation and seamlessly implement these changes in the production environment.
- Arrange project requirements through thorough analysis, preparing corresponding workflow charts and diagrams using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter expertise, programming language, and logic.
- Maintains client confidence and protects the operation by keeping all exchanged information confidential, and by always providing an exceptional service.
- Implement policies/standards to improve the quality and efficiency of support services based on ITIL methodology.
- Monitor traffic and provide regular reports about threats and suspicious activities.
- Prepare Incident response plans based of the types of incidents.
- Identify Network and Security Vulnerabilities and provide mitigation solutions.
- Stay ahead of cyber threats.
SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of top manufacturers of network devices and switching and virtualization technologies.
- Hands on network administration experience.
- Cybersecurity related experience.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Ability to work with agile methodologies and fast-paced development
- Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in Computer Science or related discipline.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in related field required, equivalent combination of
Education and/or Experience accepted.
Professional certification:
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) highly desired
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a plus
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or COBIT5 is a plus
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) is a plus
Fortinet NSE is a plus
Other: Must have excellent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.
Experience with open-source monitoring solutions is a plus.
Experience in project management is a plus.
Experience with CCTV and IP cameras is a plus.
Must be professional, responsible, proactive with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work effectively with different personality types and staff members at all levels of an organization; must also have a knack for problem solving and work well under pressure.
