The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support & CCTV Specialist to join our team. This dual-focus role is critical for ensuring our digital infrastructure and physical security systems remain operational 24/7. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting while taking full ownership of our CCTV network—from hardware configuration to active footage review and system auditing.

Key Responsibilities

IT Service Desk & Infrastructure

  • End-User Support: Provide rapid-response technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and patch workstations (desktops/laptops), peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Network Stability: Monitor and troubleshoot local network connectivity (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) to ensure zero downtime for business operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of recurring issues, resolutions, and IT asset inventory.

CCTV & Security Operations

  • Configuration & Deployment: Lead the installation, IP addressing, and software configuration of NVR/DVR systems and IP cameras.
  • Surveillance Management: Perform regular CCTV footage reviews and audits to support security investigations or operational quality control.
  • System Health Monitoring: Proactively identify and fix camera malfunctions, storage bottlenecks, and signal loss.
  • Access Control: Manage user permissions for security software and ensure integration with broader IT security protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years as an IT Support Technician with a proven track record in CCTV system administration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Windows/macOS environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Security Expertise: Direct experience with IP-based surveillance systems, PTZ camera configuration, and video management software (VMS).
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and port forwarding specifically for security hardware.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the “detective mindset” required for troubleshooting complex technical puzzles.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or manufacturer-specific CCTV certifications (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis).
  • Cloud & Automation: Experience with cloud-based storage solutions or basic scripting (PowerShell/Python) to automate system checks.
