Job Summary:
Office Aid is responsible for regular maintenance of local office space and assuring proper health and hygiene standards. A key responsibility of the Office Aid is regular hygiene check-ups and reassurance that the office space is clean and healthy for every-day use. Office Aid is supervised by the Admin Assistant.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Prepare cleaning solutions and manage inventory of chemicals for cleaning.
Clean kitchen equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and cleaning equipment.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, to prepare facilities for events such as meetings and workshops.
Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
High School diploma – Not required but a plus
Experience in cleaning an Office setting
Storekeeping experience is a plus.
Minimum one (1) year work experience.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks.
Good written and spoken English is a plus.
