Background 

Cube is an Organization working towards advancing STEAM-equity ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and climate action on the African continent. One of our main goals is to address the lack of access to hands-on training from disadvantaged communities and schools with little or no access to STEAM resources, and provide innovative solutions to climate change challenges on a local level. 

Role Summary 

CUBE is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for the overall design, execution, and impact assessment of multiple programs and projects. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills to manage teams effectively, ensuring that all initiatives are implemented successfully within scope, time, and budget constraints. They will be responsible for coordinating internal and external resources, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring that project goals align with CUBE’s strategic vision. 

Key Responsibilities 

Program & Project Management 

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CUBE’s programs and projects.
  •  Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to ensure objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to align program goals with CUBE’s mission. 

People & Operations Management 

  • Lead and manage program teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability. 
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to enhance productivity and efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor requirements, and program guidelines. This includes formulating policies, guidelines and SOPs where needed. 
  • Manage staff performance by ensuring each staff has periodic performance indicators which are properly reviewed and results recognised and areas of improvement noted
  •  Develop risk register and track the mitigation measures especially the programe risk 

Communication & Reporting 

  • Prepare periodic high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders, donors, and partners. 
  • Ensure effective internal and external communication on program progress and impact.
  • Manage the MEAL component of each project secured. 
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, including budgets, work plans, and reports.
  •  Represent CUBE in meetings, conferences, and networking events as required. 

Partnerships & Resource Mobilization 

  • Identify funding opportunities and assist in developing grant proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  •  Contribute to CUBE’s strategic planning by identifying areas for growth and improvement. 

Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge and Experience) 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Program Management, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in non-profit organizations. 
  • Proven ability to manage people, lead teams, and coordinate multiple programs simultaneously. 
  • Strong writing, communication, and reporting skills, with excellent command of the English language. 
  • Experience in grant writing, donor reporting, and proposal development is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and handle pressure in a dynamic work environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, project management software, and digital collaboration tools is recommended. 
  • This role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive impact through innovative program delivery
