Structure

DK Telecom is looking to hire a Revenue Assurance Officer to join its Finance team.

Role Description

The Revenue Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all revenue generated by the organization is accurately recorded, billed, collected, reconciled, and reported. The officer will identify revenue leakages, billing errors, unrecorded income, incorrect customer charges, and weaknesses in revenue-related processes.

The role supports the protection of the organization’s income by ensuring that services provided are properly billed and that amounts collected are fully accounted for.

Required Skills

The Revenue Assurance Officer should have the following skills:

• Strong reconciliation and numerical-analysis skills 
• Understanding of billing and revenue cycles 
• Knowledge of receivables and revenue accounting 
• Ability to analyse large volumes of transaction data 
• Ability to identify exceptions, patterns and irregularities 
• Understanding of internal controls and fraud-risk indicators 
• Competence in preparing financial and management reports 
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data comparison 
• Familiarity with accounting, billing and customer-management systems 

Minimum Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking or a related discipline. 

A Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification may be considered where the candidate has strong and relevant revenue, billing, accounting, or audit experience.

Required Experience 

• Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in accounting, revenue assurance, billing, audit, receivables, financial control or reconciliation. 
• Experience in telecommunications, utilities, banking, subscription services or another high-volume transaction environment is an added advantage. 
• Experience working with billing systems, accounting software or enterprise resource planning systems is desirable.
