Applications are invited from suitably qualified Gambians to fill in the vacant positions of a STATE REGISTERED NURSE (SRN/MIDWIFE) AND A STATE ENROLLED NURSE (SEN) at the Department of Clinical Service, DONGORO-BA HEALTH CENTRE, JARRA EAST DISTRICT, LOWER RIVER REGION (LRR).

Location: Dongoro-Ba Health Centre, Jarra East District.
Reports To: Officer -In-Charge (OIC).

In our quest for a better healthcare delivery, we are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse respectively to join our team of nurses and contribute to our mission of quality service delivery to patients.
Positions Overview:
Both nurses if absorbed, will work in collaboration with the clinical services team and other healthcare personnel to ensure the effective delivery of patient care. Your duties will include providing bedside nursing, assisting in clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort, managing inventories, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Job Summary (Duties):
- Receive patients and record their details prior to consultation.
- Collect body fluid samples for laboratory tests.
- Provide general nursing care and ensure patient comfort.
- Perform wound dressing and suture minor lacerations.
- Conduct deliveries and provide immunization at birth.
- Offer family planning care and counseling.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Ensure safe disposal of clinical waste.
- Uphold strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Supervise and train new nursing staff.
- Perform administrative and documentation duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma in Nursing (BSc in Nursing is an added advantage).
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in a public and/or private health facility.
- Proficiency in using office equipment (e.g Computers and photocopiers).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Ability to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills.

- Basic concept and equipment level on Ultrasound scanning.

- These are full-time positions with regular working hours.
- Initial contract: 12 months (including a 6-month probation period).
