Responsible to: Finance Manager
Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible for preparing payment vouchers, posting, and monthly bank reconciliation, maintaining and ensuring that financial policy and procedures are adhered to.
Key Function
- Prepare payments and ensure proper receipt by the appropriate payee
- Responsible for controlling cheque stubs for all the
- Responsible for posting suppliers’ invoices and payments into the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure Timely Statutory Payments
- Filing of payment vouchers in an orderly
- Weekly reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
- Assist in the Balance-sheet Items Reconciliation
- Maintained and ensured that the Fixed Assets register is up to date on a month-to-month basis and ensured that any asset bought is added to it and depreciation is charged.
Education & Experience
- ACCA Level 2 or other relevant field
- BSc in Accounting / Finance
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive working experience in an accounting or finance setting in a similar position
Person Specification
- General accounting knowledge
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to use Finex accounting software, fix asset registers
- Skilled in analyzing and evaluating data
- Good organizational and time management skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal
- Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use your own initiative
