A Multinational Commercial Bank in The Gambia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head of Treasury.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (mandatory).
• Master’s degree or MBA in Finance or related discipline will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strategic thinking and leadership.
• Financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in treasury, risk management, or corporate finance within banking or financial services.
• At least 2 years in a senior leadership role managing treasury in a commercial bank.
• Proven track record in liquidity management, funding strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset and Liability Management (ALCO) Liquidity Planning and Control and cashflow projections
• Preparation of internal/regulatory reports relating to Treasury and other products
• Market Scanning and assessment
• Maintain and keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in various forex
  transactions
• Responsible for strategic management of balance sheet elements to eliminate inefficiency
  and revenue leakages
• Works closely with finance to drive strategic balance sheet growth metrics, in view of
  future anticipated liquidity and capital requirements
• Liaises with regulators to drive market development and influence policy
• Facilitate and coordinate investments in fixed income products and interbank placements
