Qualification & Experience

A minimum of a BSc/BEng in Radio Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field.

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) operations in a senior technical or leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

RAN planning, design, capacity, coverage and licensed/unlicensed spectrum management.

Network performance, RF optimization, availability and service-quality management.

RAN operations, preventive maintenance, fault resolution, upgrades and network expansion.

Team leadership, vendor management, technical standards and departmental performance.

Technical Competencies & Leadership Skills

Proficiency in RF planning, link-budget analysis, spectrum analysis and network management platforms such as Cambium cnMaestro or equivalent systems.

Strong ability to interpret network KPIs, diagnose RF/interference and capacity issues, and implement timely corrective actions.

Sound technical and operational judgement in resource allocation, prioritisation, scheduling and escalation under pressure.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage geographically dispersed technical teams and coordinate effectively with other departments and vendors.

Ability to operate independently, enforce engineering and quality standards, and represent the RAN function effectively at senior management level.
