Rehabilitation, Renovation and Upgrading of the Clinical Laboratory at New Yundum Minor Health Centre

Tender Notice

The Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS), in partnership with the Spanish Red Cross and with funding from Fundación Probitas, invites sealed bids from qualified and experienced construction firms for the rehabilitation, renovation and upgrading of the clinical laboratory at New Yundum Minor Health Centre, West Coast Region, The Gambia.

The works include laboratory refurbishment, improvements to the sample-collection and waiting areas, construction of an expectant mothers’ Bantaba, and associated masonry, finishes, joinery, water, drainage, electrical, lighting and ventilation works.

Contract period: 60 calendar days from the agreed commencement date; works are expected to begin in early October 2026.

Eligibility and tender dossier

• Valid 2026 GPPA Registration
• At least three years relevant construction experience and evidence of compatable projects in The Gambia.
• Evidence of financial capacity, a company bank account, qualified key personnel, and access to the required equipment.
• Bid security equal to 2% of the total bid value, valid for 45

Interested firms must request the complete tender dossier, including technical specifications, drawings, required declarations and the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), by email from the GRCS Procurement Unit at sulayman.darbo@redcross.gm no later than 1 September 2026.

Submission requirements

Bidders must submit one original and one copy of their bid. Each set must contain three separately sealed and clearly labelled envelopes: (1) company and eligibility documents; (2) signed and stamped technical offer; and (3) signed and stamped financial offer in Gambian Dalasi, inclusive of all applicable taxes shown separately. The offer must remain valid for three months from the closing date.

The outer envelope must be marked: “Tender – New Yundum Clinical Laboratory Rehabilitation”. Late submissions will not be accepted. A site visit is optional and may be undertaken independently.

Important Notice

GRCS reserves the right to request clarification or supplementary information, to accept or reject any bid, and to cancel the procurement process in accordance with its procurement procedures, without incurring liability to bidders. Only the successful bidder will be notified formally.
