PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE

The Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS) invites interested members of the public, businesses, institutions, and other eligible bidders to participate in a Public Auction for selected used motor vehicle and motorbikes declared unserviceable and approved for disposal.

The assets will be sold to the highest successful bidder, subject to the applicable reserve price and GRCS disposal procedures.

ITEMS FOR AUCTION

The auction will include the following categories:

A complete list of assets, specifications and reserve prices will be made available to interested bidders.

INSPECTION OF ASSETS

Interested bidders may inspect the vehicle and motorbikes before submitting their bids.

Bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the assets before submitting their bids.

CONDITION OF SALE

All vehicle and motorbikes are offered for sale on an “AS-IS, WHERE-IS” basis.

GRCS makes no warranty or guarantee regarding the mechanical condition, roadworthiness, mileage, fitness for purpose or future performance of any asset.

Bidders are responsible for conducting their own inspection and assessment before placing a bid. Once a bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall be deemed to have accepted the asset in its existing condition.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS

Interested bidders shall submit their bids in a sealed envelope clearly marked:

Bids should include:

• Name of bidder;
• Contact details;
• Description of the asset(s);
• Amount offered in Gambian Dalasi (GMD);
• Signature of bidder; and
• Copy of valid identification or relevant business information, where

BID EVALUATION AND AWARD

Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the GRCS-approved asset disposal procedures.

The successful bidder will be the bidder offering the highest acceptable price, subject to the applicable reserve price and approval by the authorized GRCS disposal authority.

GRCS reserves the right to accept or reject any bid in accordance with its procedures.

PAYMENT

Successful bidders will be notified and required to make full payment within 5 working days of notification of award.

Payment shall be made through the officially designated GRCS payment channel. No asset shall be released before full payment has been received and confirmed.

COLLECTION OF ASSETS

Successful bidders shall collect their purchased vehicle or motorbike immediately after confirmation of full payment.

All costs associated with transportation, transfer of ownership, registration, repairs, insurance and any other related expenses shall be borne by the successful bidder.
