The Government of the Gambia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Harmonizing and Improving Statistics in West and Central Africa (HISWACA) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Complete Overhaul, Refurbishment, and Landscaping of GBoS Office Space.

For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.

The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) now invites sealed Bids from interested Bidders or Contractors to bid for Construction, i.e.  Complete Overhaul, Refurbishment, and Landscaping of GBoS Office Space.

The GBoS Office Space is situated at Kanifing Institutional Layout and all the interested Bidders or Contractors are invited to bid.  

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive bidding using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (edition – September 2025) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the payment of a nonrefundable fee of GMD 50,000.00 (Fifty thousand Gambian dalasi only). The method of payment will be Cash. The document may be available both hard and soft copy upon payment of the nonrefundable fee.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22nd September 2026 at 12:00noon. Electronic Bidding will NOT be permitted. Late Bids shall be REJECTED. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below. 

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of GMD 1,500,000.00 (One million and five hundred Gambian dalasi only) from a reputable Bank.
