Job Overview
Background
SOS Children’s Villages The Gambia intends to improve the reliability and availability of electricity through the installation, upgrading and rehabilitation of solar power systems at selected facilities.
The assignment will be implemented as one consolidated lot covering the SOS National office, SOS children’s Village Bakoteh and the CSGEE Project.
Objective
The objective is to:
Provide reliable and sustainable solar power;
Replace faulty or obsolete equipment;
Expand existing solar capacity where required; and
Ensure safe and fully operational solar installations.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor shall supply, deliver, install, test and commission all required equipment and associated materials.

Contractor Responsibilities
Verify site conditions before installation.
Supply new and quality equipment.
lnstall all equipment and accessories.
Provide appropriate cabling, protection, earthing and mounting systems.
Test and commission the completed installations. .
Provide system documentation and warranties.
Train designated SOS staff on basic operation and maintenance.
Deliverables
Fully operational solar systems;
Testing and commissioning report;
Equipment manuals and datasheets;
Warranty certificates; . Basic system drawings;
Maintenance recommendations; and
User training and final handover.
Warranty

Contractor Requirements
The contractor must demonstrate:
Relevant experience in solar PV and hybrid systems;
At least three similar completed projects;
Qualified technical personnel;
Capacity to provide local technical support; and
Ability to provide warranty and after-sales service.
Implementation Period
The works should be completed within 45 calendar days of contract signing. The bidder shall submit a simple work plan showing procurement, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Financial Proposal
The bidder shall submit one consolidated financial proposal using the following format:

Prices shall include delivery, transportation, labour, installation, testing, Unit Price (GMD) Total (GMD) GMD commissioning and all necessary accessories required for a complete and functional system.
Bid Evaluation Criteria

Payment Terms
30%o – Contract signing and equipment delivery;
50o/o – installation substantially completed;
20o/o – Testing, commissioning, training and final handover.
Procurement Arrangement
The above requirements shall be treated as oNE SINGLE LOT. Bidders must submit one complete technical and financial proposal covering the entire assignment.
