Job Overview

Academic Qualifications
- A first degree in Behavioral Science Courses, Human Resources or related fields
- Higher qualification and professional certificates/affiliations will be an added advantage
Work Experience
A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and other experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with HR Policies &
- Ensures HR procedures and tools are implemented to support Manpower Planning & People Development
- Oversee all appraisal reports to identify HR issues and Competency/skill gaps
- Act in a professional capacity to guide & conduct Grievance & Discipline procedures and Domestic Enquiry sessions.
- Decides on disciplinary action regarding serious & absolutely serious discipline by
- Manage bank wide database and ensure prompt update of information in the system
- Payroll processing and managing other compensation and benefits policy
- Manage relationship with statutory bodies including but not limited to the Gambia Revenue authority, Social Security, and Immigration department.
- Manage relationships with statutory bodies including but not limited to The Gambia Revenue Authority, Social Security, and Immigration Department.
- Prepare and monitor the human resource budget, and manage the expenses of the Human Resource department to ensure compliance.
- Managing and providing the necessary management information required for the
- Co-ordinate the administration of all reimbursement claims with regard to welfare entitlements of employees.
- Coordinate necessary HR-related Surveys and prepare new evolving policies for the Bank as the case may be from time to time.
- Provide and interpret local market remuneration and other relevant external data to the
- Identify and analyze employee relations, problems, or grievances, recommend solutions, and participate appropriately in the resolution of such issues.
- Conduct interviews and oversee recruitment on behalf of the Business Managers; participate in the selection process to ensure that the selection decision is fully informed; organize screening and business-level induction for new staff.
- Management of payments/withdrawals/disbursements of internal and external staff welfare Scheme and ensuring monthly payment reports are sent to the scheme
- Initiate proactive measures to create and maintain healthy employee relations
- Assist the Businesses in enforcing disciplinary actions and ensure consistency across the organization as well as compliance with the relevant employment Legislation.
- Co-ordinate staff training and development
- As part of the Bank’s Information Security requirements, maintain the security of all Information entrusted to the staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook.
