Academic Qualifications

• A first degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking,
• Full ACCA qualifications and related professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

At least five years’ experience working in Finance in a highly structured environment

Responsibilities

• Review of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet of the
• Review of the Accounting Detail Listings (Loans and Deposits)
• Develop financial strategies and initiatives to ensure optimization, enhancement and adequacy of Assets & Liabilities, Treasury, Liquidity and Tax management
• Deliver sound economic financial plans for the annual and 3-year financial planning process & performance monitoring activities.
• Liaison with the external Auditors during the Interim and Final Audit exercises
• Liaison with the external Auditors during the half yearly Central Bank Returns Validation Process
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of the Statutory returns to the Central Bank and liaison with Banking Supervision Department of the CBG
• Establish, monitor and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal/financial controls integrity in accordance with IFRS and/or local GAAP and corporate guidelines to ensure generation of complete, accurate and timely financial reports in addition to improving the Company’s processes and accommodate significant growth.
• Ensure the Company’s general ledger (i.e. chart of accounts) complies with group’s approved
• Ensure the company is in full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and government agencies
• Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of
• Preparation of the monthly management report of the bank
• Preparation of the bank’s yearend Financial Statements for audit purposes
