A reputable Multinational Financial Institution in The Gambia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications (M&CC). Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, International Relations and other related fields. An M.B.A. will be an added advantage.
Work Experience required
- Minimum experience: 5-10 Corporate years in communications/marketing functions/ Branding
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Corel draw, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
Responsibilities
- Assist to develop and implement the institution’s media and external communication strategy across news channels, corporate identity associations and image platforms globally, ensuring alignment with advertising and brand positioning as well as projecting a positive outlook for the institution
- Assist in the development of external communications strategy, plan and budget developed in line with the bank’s strategic and operating plans.
- Galvanize positive and appropriate external stakeholder relations, building local and international brand equity to influence brand affinity, product trial and considerations
- Coordinate foreign media relations and PR activities to promote the institution’s reputational capital and brand equity using print, electronic and digital media channels
- Develop and assist in implementing a workable Consumer PR Strategy for the institution, including identifying appropriate messaging for cross-selling opportunities and stakeholder mapping/management
- Develop and assist in implementing an annual plan for communicating the institution’s products to various publics to enhance awareness and lead generation in liaison with Management and the Business Development Department
- Boost public awareness of the institution through strategic local/foreign media relations and media exposure activities by way of developing press release/features, and scheduling media training, interviews and appearances
- Assist to manage and mitigate reputational risk group wide through warehousing of media enquiries and preparation of statements when the need arises
